Ty and Mads Updates

Tyler just turned 2 and is so much fun. She learns things so fast and most of it just makes us laugh, she's so dang cute.

1. Whenever she finds some chapstick she'll bring it to me and say "Don't eat it"
2. She has a book with lots of animals in it and she's so good at pointing to the animal, saying what it is, then the noise it makes. But when the animal doesn't really have a noise she thinks the noise is it's name over and over. She'll point to the snail and say "snail" and the noise is "snail snail, snail snail" and she thinks the name of a sheep is "baa sheep".
3. Whenever she wants something really bad after I tell her no she says "just ONE mommy" and holds up 1 finger. I can never resist after that.
4. She is very courteous to talk to Madix in the car.
Madix- "ba ba ba ba ba"
Tyler - "ba ba ba ba ba" repeated over and over
Or
Madix- "waaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh" crying
Tyler- " bluh bluh bluh bluh" with her tongue moving in and out. Madix stops and stares at her then when Tyler stops Madix starts, then Tyler will do it again, over and over. I listened to this for a half hour in the car the other day. Can't wait till they can have real conversations.
5. She is really polite, whenever I accidently scratch her or bump her head putting her into the car she immedietly says "sorry mommy".
6. Whenever she goes pee in her diaper she says "poo poo in toilet". She thinks pee and poo are the same thing, and she tells me in toilet a litle too late.
7. She thinks a monster says "shhhhhwoooo, shhhhhwooooo", really quietly, Don't know where she got that but at leaste it's not a scary monster.
8. The best is when I lay her down for bed and hear her singing "lullaby, go to sleep" over and over, or she wakes up singing "E-I-E-I-O", she loves to sing.
9. She just started saying full sentences like "I eat grapes", it's not correct but so cute.
10. She thinks she's in charge of Madix, always telling her what to do and "no no Maddies", I was determined to NOT have her go by Maddie but that's the only thing Tyler will call her.

MY SWEET MADIX

She's almost 8 months and is just as sweet as can be. She hardly ever cries when Tyler hits her and takes away her toys. She has 6 teeth and still a pro at army crawling. She just started pulling herself up to standing! She can't even properly crawl and she can pull herself up to stand. Tyler only crawled for like 2 weeks then started walking, I think Mads will do the same thing. She's growing so fast and is also so much fun.

Presidents Day Weekend- From Snow to Water

What a fun weekend, how many places can you go snowboarding and wakeboarding the same weekend.

It was such a beautiful day in Flagstaff. It had just snowed the day before, so it was great snow and not a cloud in the sky. This is actually me landing a 180 but our stupid camera has like a 5 sec. delay so we couldn't get any of the jumps in the air. We LOVE to ride in the trees where it's FRESH powder, so much fun! And this is Dave going off a jump, I tried to take it extra early so with the delay it would get him in the air, stupid camera.

Check out this sweet Malibu boat my dad just bought 2 weeks ago. We're so stoked to go on it all summer (and would love to take whoever wants to go with us). With the wind it was a bit chilly.

We thought it would be hard with the kids, but they loved it! The boat rocked Madix right to sleep.

Dave was the only one crazy enough to get in, the water was 57 degrees but he said it was warm with his wetsuit.

MY VALENTINE AND MY VALENTINE BABY!!!

What an amazing day to celebrate love! Not only do I get to celebrate love for Dave but what greater love is there than the birth of your child- my sweet Tyler.

My sweetheart- the love of my life, my best friend, my eternal companion and the best dad to my children.

My Valentine Baby

Happy birthday Tyler!!! Wow, I can't believe my baby is 2! She is just so much fun right now. She's like a real person, appose to a baby. She's understanding so much and we can talk and have almost a real conversation.
All day she's been singing "happy b-day to Ty Ty" and I ask her what today is and she says "I two" and holds up one finger. I ask her what her name is, she says "Tyler Easton". When I tell her "Say bye Tyler" when people are leaving she yells "Bye Tyler!". We just adore her so much and although I never want her to grow up, I'm looking forward to every stage in her life and all the happiness I know she'll bring us.

Tyler's Birthday Party

Tyler turns 2 on Valentine's Day but we had her pary last Saturday, and it was lots of balloons and fun! Her cousin Braxton's birthday is a day before her's so we had their party together, he turns 1.

Madix sure did love all the balloons!

We had a pinata and the head broke of before we could break the body and get the candy.

Tyler was a pro at blowing out her candle, I had to relight it about 5 times because she kept wanting to blow it out. Tyler would very delicately take one finger and dip it in the cake and lick it. Then there was Braxton. I've never seen a baby go at a cake like he did. He demolished every little bit. I guess that's the difference between boys and girls.

Tyler didn't understand that the doll bed was for the doll and not for her.

My Wonderful Weekend

I had such a fun weekend! It started Friday, me and Dave finally got to use our massages we got for Christmas, it was so relaxing.

Still nobody gives them as good as Dave.

Then we went to Macayo's where I had my favorite meal in the whole world. Green corn tamale with baja sauce, if you haven't tried it you really need to go try. Dave hates it though, it's a little different, kind of sweet and spicy.

Saturday was such a beautiful day and both my kids are finally really healthy, yeah!! We can actually go out and do stuff. So we went for a nice long walk and found a fun tree for Tyler to climb. She loved it and talked about it all day. She learned about the bark and the sap.

Tyler actually let Madix sit in her lap for a picture without pushing her- amazing.

Saturday night Nancy had a pajama party for her 30th b-day, it was so fun, and fun to see old H.S. friends. And me and Tami made her a really cute apron! So cute, Tami did most of it, but I did cut.

Sunday was the best Superbowl ever! according to Dave, the football fanatic. My mom throws the best Superbowl party with tons of food (she always over does it). So the girls ate and played games while the guys watched the game.

And no we did not get our house rented out. We had the same brilliant idea as 7,000 other people.

My dad loves to feed Tyler all his weird concoctions, and Tyler actually likes them. I think that's why my dad likes Tyler so much, she's the only one who likes all his weird food.

Getting to Know You

Basics

1. Who is your man? David Thomas Eastman

2. How long have you been together? We met spring of 1997, kind of dated on and off for 5 years and have been married for almost six. Wow it's been so long, it's hard to imagine eternity (in a good way).

3. How old is your man? 32

You or your man?

1. Who eats more? Probably me, I love to eat. Where Dave forgets to eat lunch a lot of days. I would never "forget" to eat.

2. Who said "I love you" first? This is a little foggy. I think he did, he thinks I did. He chased after me for 4 years then finally gave up and said forget it, then I had to beg him to come back and marry me the last year that we dated. (you always want what you can't have)

3. Who weighs more? Dave, just barely though, which is sad since he's about 7 inches taller than me.

4. Who sings better? Definitely Dave, I can't carry a tune for the life of me.

5. Who's older? Dave by a year and 4 months.

6. Who's smarter? Well I like to think I am in most things, but Dave was in school for almost 30 years so book wise he probably is:)

7. Who's temper is worse? It's about equal, neither one of us have bad tempers. Dave can definitely lose it every now and then and I'm all about just being emotional.

8. Who does the laundry? I do. Dave will help fold every so often.

9. Who does the dishes? I do mostly, Dave helps quite often. To be fare to Dave he does clean all the bathrooms every week and dusts. (I don't think I've cleaned a bathroom since we've been married)

10. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Me. Dave tries to sometimes because it's closer to the TV, but I have to. In hotels I have to sleep on which ever side is closer to the bathroom.

11. Who's feet are bigger? Dave's! He has a gigantic big toe!, which unfortunately our girls have inherited

12. Who hair is longer? Mine, although Dave did have hair down to his shoulders the first year we were married.

13. Who's better with the computer? Dave, I'm not very good.

14. Who mows the lawn? Dave. I did once thought when Dave hurt his back. He didn't think I could do it and it was a peice of cake.

15. Who pays the bills? I do, I'm more on top of it and like to know how much money we have, or don't.

16. Who cooks dinner? Me. Dave will every blue moon. Neither of us enjoy cooking.

17. Who drives when you are together? Mostly Dave, but I like to drive a lot too.

18. Who pays when you go out to dinner? Whoever feels like getting their wallet out. I usaully always leave the tip though.

19. Who's the most stubborn? Dave would say me, but we are both very stubborn. Not a good thing and does not make for a fast make up when we get in a fight.

20. Who is the first to admit when they're wrong? We both think we're right most the time so it's just whoever gets sick of not talking first.

21. Who's parents do you see more? Mine, almost every week. Dave's live in Oregon.

22. Who named your dog? Dave. He first named her Makita then that too long to say so we changed to to Meeka.

23. Who kissed who first? Dave kissed me, on our couch in Hawaii.

24. Who asked who out? We didn't really go on a "date" for a long time, we always just "hung out" with a bunch of friends.

25. What did you do? Well the first time we actually hung out, was in Hawaii, me, Dawn and Nancy were out on the town and decided we didn't want to drive back to the north shore so we got a hotel room. Four guys decided to come and join us, one of them being Dave. So all seven of us slept in one bed (2 queens pushed together), and the next day we rented mopeds and went to Hanama Bay. Awesome first date, if you can call it that.

26. Who's more sensitive? For sure me!! Maybe a bit too much.

27. Who's taller? Dave's 6'4", I'm 5'9"

28. Who has more friends? I do. Dave's not very social. He wouln't mind if he sat at home by himself every weekend.

29. Who has more siblings? Dave has 6, I have 4

30. Who wears the pants in the relationship? That's a hard one, we're pretty equal.

It would be interesting to have Dave fill out the same questions and see how he would answer them. We have our hard times, but I wouldn't trade Dave for the world. He is seriously the best husband ever and is always trying so hard. We have our differences but thats what makes our family perfect.
