Do you like my header?

Or how about Tyler's b-day party invitation?

Or Madix's baby announcement?

My friend Tami just started a blog for her business and you have to check it out. She is amazing and can do anything and everything. From announcements, to flyers, to business cards and logos, to anything else you would want designed. Go to thingsmostly.blogspot.com.

She is really good at editing your photos too and fixing them however you want.

Is this normal?

Can I retract everything I just said about Tyler? Totally kidding, BUT ever since she's turned 3 she's decided to all the sudden think she's all that. She's throwing huge tantrums, totally pushing Mads for no reason, taking away all her toys, not listening to me, hitting me (ooooh, that really gets me). Like I said, she JUST started doing all this and acting this way.
After she's in timeout and I talk to her, I say, "do you understand?" she's been saying, "I DON"T understand". So I don't know if she understands what understands means or if she's just being smart with me. I'm getting a little frustrated with her.
So my question is, "is this normal?" I mean, I know it's normal for kids to be naughty but to be such a good kid (almost perfect :)) for 3 years of her life and then all the sudden change? Dave says no, there's got to be some reason why she's all the sudden acting up. I think it's just her terrible 2's starting at 3.

Where did my sweet little Ty Ty go?

Happy Birthday Tyler

Our sweet Valentines Baby turned 3 this last Saturday! I think she was meant to be born on Valentines Day because she is just an extra sweet kid. I LOVE everyhing about Ty but here are a few things that stand out as she turns 3.
* She always asks me "Is you happy mom?" because of one time long ago that I told her "I was NOT happy with her". And lately she's been saying "Are you happy or naughty?" she thinks when your mad, your naughty.
* She is the biggest singer and chatter box. There's hardly a minute in the day where she's quiet. If she's not talking she's singing. I love it. Dave has to tell her to stop talking sometimes. And she loves, loves, loves to sing and knows sooo many songs.
* When I drop her off places she has to give me a hug, kiss AND loves (where she rubs her face against me) I don't know where she got that from, but it's so cute.
* She has always been such a good eater. I hardly ever have to force her to eat, she loves all her fruits and veggies and her latest favorite is a "hangaber" (hamburger)
* I LOVE her big brown eyes and big red lips. She looks like she's wearing lipstick a lot of the time, her lips are just naturally so red and beautiful.
* She has an incredible memory. She didn't see Grandpa Eastman for almost a year but remembered he had the phone with the kangaroos. We are amazed by some of the things she remembers. And if I ever think, "oh she'll go to sleep and forget about it", I am always wrong. She never forgets.
* She loves to read books, and even though she's not reading the words she will tell a story as she goes through the book. Lately when she gets upset or I yell at her, she'll go sit on her bed and read a book. Or when she wakes up from her naps, she'll stay in her bed and read books.
* She loves to sleep. She has often asked to take a nap, and has always slept long and good.
* She is such a good big sister and is so patient. Madix is a little pickle and will often go up to Tyler and push or hit her and Tyler rarely ever will hit her back. The other day Madix got stuck up the McDondals playhouse and was crying and Tyler ran up and helped her all the way down. It was so cute.
Happy Birthday Ty Ty, we LOVE you!!

Funny Story about Ty:
A little while ago while my mom was changing my nephews diaper, Tyler discovered he had "wings" yes she calls it "wings" (have no idea?). So she would sometimes ask if that person has wings. "Yes boys have wings". Well last week a friend was watching her and she had a couple little boys there. Laura was changing one of their diapers when Tyler announced to everyone that he has wings. So then Ty went around the room asking everyone if they had wings. She asked Steve, the dad, and I think he was at a loss of words at what to say. Then Tyler proudly said, "my dad's name is Dave and he has wings!"
Like I said, she loves to talk and talk about anything at that.

Half my crazy week done, half to go

This week is a fully packed crazy, stressful week and I'm glad the craziness is done.

Me and Dave celebrated Valentines Day last Sat. We decided that since Tylyer's b-day is on actual V-Day that we need to make that her special day. So we went out on a nice date Sat. Dave got me a really cute necklace with a sweet meaning behind it. Thanks babe, I love you!

Monday: this was my one day to go to the gym. Did I mention we just booked a cruise for our anniversary in April. Southern Carribbean. I'm so excited. So I need to hit the gym double time.
Tuesday: was Tyler's birthday party. This was my biggest concern. We invited 10 kids over for 2 hours (plus younger sibblings, so really 18 kids). Then I talked to my sister and she told me way too many kids and 45 minutes is plenty long enough for little kids. "Aaaaaah", what was I thinking. I was so worried it would be a disaster.
And it WAS really crazy but turned out good and it was lots of fun.

We started out back with bubbles. Thanks moms for blowing bubbles.

Then we played pin the tail on the donkey. I didn't think 2 yr olds could walk blind folded, but they all did pretty good. (we didn't spin them)

Presents. Thanks so much for all the presents! Tyler has been having so much fun playing with all them.

Cake time! After we sang to Ty and I told her to blow out the candles now, all the kids came running up to help blow:) yummy

This was the one time everyone was quiet- eating cake and icecream.

Mads found a nice quiet spot to enjoy hers, and boy did she.

Then each kid got their own buckets to fill with candy. Nothing like candy to make a kid excited.

We gave all the kids a balloon and told them to sit on them and try and pop them. This was pretty funny. They were pretty durable balloons, hardly any of the kids could pop them.

Morgan, Savannah and Tyler

Whew! We made it through the party. Thanks so much everyone for coming and showing your support for Tyler. And thanks for all the help!

Wednesday: Tyler had dance in the morning. They started their recital dance. It's to "Baby Face". It's gonna be so cute.
Wednesday night I had a baby shower to go to. It was a nice break to go eat and chat with girls for a couple hours.
Thursday:

Teaching preschool at my house. Making sure I have enough things to keep the attention of 6 2-3 year olds for an hour and a half. It went good. We learned the letter "B" and did Valentines stuff. All the kids did really good.
Thursday night: Bunko, yay another break with no kids, to eat and talk girl talk all night.
Friday: Braxton's birthday. Go to the zoo with them and party at Chucky Cheese tom. night.

Saturday: Valentines Day but more importantly Tyler's birthday! We still haven't decided for sure what we're doing, I'm thinking maybe Build a Bear-?
Sunday: Teach Relief Society. I always try and look at the lesson at the beggining of the week, but can never force myself to sit down and prepare it until the night before or the morning of- so that's in the back of my mind all week.

And finally Sunday night one last party for Tyler just for family.

At leaste I'll have Monday when Dave is off work and we can recouperate, from the crazy week.

FINALLY movin on up to a BIG bed AND 1st day of school!

So Tyler turns 3 next week and she was STILL sleeping in a crib just until 3 days ago. I loved having her in a crib and she loved being in her crib. Never once has she tried to climb out. So I was a little nervous that she would really miss her crib, but so far so good. I'm actually really glad I kept her in a crib for so long. She's so well trained and used to staying in her crib that she STAYS in her bed, and I mean stays. I don't think she even knows that she can get out. We lay her down and she has not once gotten out by herself. She stays in bed until I come and get her the next morning or after her nap. If she needs something, like needs to go potty or one time I forgot to give her her froggy, and she just sat in bed and yelled for me. The transfer has been so nice and easy, I hope she never figures out that she can actually get out of bed and come out of her room by herself:)

She LOVES her "big" bed. The first couple of days she was ASKING to go to bed and to take a nap.

So I decided while we're getting big beds we my as well get 2 couse Madix will be there shortly (well not if I keep Mads in a crib till she's 3 too), but I just wanted it all set up and ready for them to share a room. And maybe there will be another baby by then to take Madix's crib and room. (no I'm not pregnant)
I found these really cute Hawaiian bedspreads, so their room is in the process of turning into Hawaii.

First Day of School!!
Well preschool or ABC school or joy school. (I don't know what to call it) Good thing she moved out of her crib before she started school, that could've been embarassing:)

She was SOOOO excited to go to school with her new backpack and crayons and scissors and glue inside.

Madix was excited for Tyler too, she got her little backpack

So we got to Jessica's house and Ty asked where the school was and where the teacher was. Kind of sad, she thought she was going to a "real" school with a "real" teacher. But once she sat down and Jess started teaching, Tyler did so good. I was so proud of her. She really particpated and answered questions.
That night Dave asked her what she learned and she said "A says craaaaaaaaaaab". That's so funny cause we never talked about crab once, I don't know where she got that, but at leaste she learned "A" says "aaaaaaaaa".

Just going to get the mail, they each have to push their strollers.
