Graduation for....

A B C School!! Yup this was Ty's big first graduation. The first of many more to come.

Is that not the cutest smile from my big 3 year old graduate?!

Now that she knows the ABC's (well sorta), she's ready to take off and conquer the world!

They (well moms mostly) made these great graduation hats.

Oh, my little girls is graduating:)

Thanks grandpa to coming to Ty's graduation.

Ty with her little buddy Morgan.

Graduating Class of 2009 Ty would not wear her had for the ceremony.

They all stood up to sing the ABC's

Dad, and Ty and Grandpa and Mads by all the yummy treats.

The 3 girls in their class. Ty made a lot of fun friends this year.

Ty as ALSO GRADUATED FROM...... sucking her finger!!! Yay, it's a miracle and I am so proud of her for breaking such a hard habbit. Well she really didn't have a choice for about a week. The frog taking away didn't work, so it resulted in the last thing we could think of, to disable her sucking finger. Yup we taped it up good. (really good after she figured out how to take it off a couple of times) You can see on her right pointer finger, it's all taped up.

We left it on for about a week. The first 2 nights were really sad, she cried and cried for us to take it off:( I totally wanted to take it off for her and probably would have if it wasn't totally messing up her teeth and jaw. But after about 2 days she started getting used to it. We took it off after a week, I was a little worried. They say it takes 28 days to break a habbit, but she has done sooooo good at not sucking it anymore. That's pretty good will power for a 3 yr old, cause I know a couple of times she has wanted to but she knows the tape will go back on if she does. Your awesome Ty!!!

My Poor Baby!

So last Monday night Mads and Ty are having a blast playing in the pool while me and Dave are eating dinner and then it's bedtime and time to get out. They both get wrapped up in towels and are walking inside when poor Madix trips over her long towel and being all wrapped up as no arms to catch her fall!! Your probably cringing right now, I do everytime I think about it. Face first right into our tile! Breaks her tooth! Oh we felt so bad and stressed about it all night. We thought since it's her baby tooth their not gonna do anything about it, so I just kept thinking she's gonna have to start school with half a tooth and all the kids are gonna make fun of her, and Dave thinks it's gonna ruin her self esteem for the rest of her life and all her pictures for the next 6-8 years are gonna be ruin. The thoughts went on and on. I didn't sleep all night, just kept picturing her falling right on her face with no arms to help her.

Poor tooth! And lip where both her teeth went in. Yes she was gushing blood.

Oh, her poor cute smile!!

So first thing the next morning I got her into the dentist, not good news! She has an exposed nerve so they have to to a nerve treatment (a.k.a a root canal)! Are you kidding me, on a two year old! Oh, stress, stress, stress just thinking about it.

Thursday morning we go in, they sedate her. They made her drink this yucky stuff, then I had to sit in a room with her for an hour while it took affect. At times she got a bit loopy and goofy, like she was drunk. I was laughing. At the end she just got really drowsy. They took her back, contrained her in pretty much a straitjacket, and put her on laughing gas. Within a minute she was asleep, then I had to leave. They said she slept through the whole thing. It wasn't as bad as I stressed about for 2 days. Then they capped her tooth and it looks as good as new! Whew!

Her new tooth, you would never even know.

Yay, her adorable smile is all fixed. (her smile itself is a little crooked, but I love it!)
Man the things we have to go through with kids. Tyler had her surgery at about this same age too. And they're NOT cheap.
I was thinking the night it happened when I was awake all night, "if I can't sleep from a fall and a little broken tooth, man I'm NEVER gonna get any sleep when their teenagers!"

Schaub Campout

Our big family reunion Schaub Campout. We meet biannually with about 100 of the Schaubs for a fun filled weekend of camping, games, food, activities and enjoying wonderful company.

Mads really enjoyed all the juice she got all weekend.

Roasting marshmellows, yummy. Both my girls were on a sugar high that night cause they ate about 20 marshmellows. They didn't like them roated though just ate the uncooked ones.

This campground was a cool setup. There's this circular driveway in the middle of the camp where the kids would just ride there bikes around all day.

Still in her pajamas, Ty just woke up and wanted to go for a bike ride. I loved it, I hardly saw Tyler all day she just loved camping.

They had a little dance one night. Me and Ty dancing.

Madix really wanted to ride bikes with all the kids but wasn't quite big enough.

So then she went to this baby one, but not quite as fun.

Cousin Thalia was nice enough to ride Mads around the circle.

Yummy Snowcones everyday.

Blowing bubbles through a sock.

They had these HUGE beetles there the boys collected at night time. I can't believe Tyler wanted to hold one, I don't think she could believe it either, look at her face-ewwwww!

We can't have a Schaub campout without the toilet paper game. It's so fun you sing a song as you pass your toilet paper to your neighbor, faster and faster and the first person who messes up everyone chucks their TP at them and their out.

My Dad took Ty and Brax fishing. They were so excited.

They feel it catch, reeling it in!

They got one!! Tyler loved it, but wasn't sure what to think.

Thanks Grandpa for a fun time fishing!

Me and my sis Kacey

They had this really cool trail, you walk for maybe a half mile and your at the top of the rim with a beautiful view. So here we are taking the kids for a walk.

Me, Kacey and Omy. Look at that view.

Our fam in the woods. We had a great time.

How did I do it?

OK, so I've had a lot of people ask me how I've gotten in such good shape.....
Trust me, there is still things I really need to work on and my body isn't completely how I would like it, but, I do feel great and am in probably the best shape of my life right now. So, how'd I do it??
I heard awhile ago, about a year and half, when I really started working out, that it was all about building your muscles, which in turn boosts your metabolism, which makes your body burn more calories, which in turn makes you loose weight. I know a lot of people are afraid of "bulking" up, but I thought I would give it a try and it totally worked for me. I would only do cardio about once or twice a week, then the other 2 or 3 days I would focus just on muscle building. There's a body works class I take that I love, it's an hour of just squats and lifting weights. When I was stuck at home I did "turbo jam" dvd. It's the beach body girl, but I've never done the cardio ones I only ever did turbo scultp (muscle training). So that's what I did for about a year and lost about 20 lbs. Now as for keeping it off, for the past 6 months or so it's all about raquetball!! Yes, I'm addicted and I love it and it's such a great workout (if you play competitively and really hard). I play for about an hour usually 3 days a week and it's a FULL body workout. I work every muscle in my body, and so much more fun than just a typical workout. If your looking for a new sport to pick up this is it! I can't get enough.

So, yah I don't look quite this good. And do you really think she actually plays raquetball??

This is me playing my bro-in-law Andrew when they came to visit. Only Dierdre would think to take these pictures, thanks Dre.

It was fun playing him. We kind of have an ongoing competition in everything we do. Over Christmas it was ping pong and it was pretty close between us. But I have to say I killed him in raquetball:) And in all fareness he kicked my butt at wakeboarding.

Here are some awesome moves.

I always jump over the ball when it's coming straight for me:) Kody calls it the Kimber move.

Now as for my diet: This is my theory, if I totally changed my diet and ate only "really healthy" foods, then as soon as I started eating "yummy non-healthy" food I would gain weight again. And I love food way too much to give up the good stuff. So I pretty much still eat whatever I want (yes chocolate EVERY day, chips, icecream, fried foods, I eat it all) (which is not good and I should try and be healthier), but I think my body is used to it and can burn all the junk I eat as long as I continue to work out all the time. "Workout hard, so you can eat yummies!)
SO there you go, Kimbers fitness 101.
