HAPPY EASTER!

We had a wonderful Easter day. Tyler had so much fun! She was so excited about her easter basket, she kept saying "happy birthday!", and we would tell her "no it's Easter" and she would say "oh, happy Easter Bunny!"
She was so good at finding eggs, but she would find one and would be so concerned about what was inside, it took us forever to find all the eggs, stopping at everyone to look inside.
We had a wonderful dinner at my parents with all our family, but then the fun came to a crashing end. A long day of playing, eating only candy, and very little sleep added up to a very bad car ride home. We left my parents around 7pm, it's about a 45min. ride home. The first half of the ride she just YELLED at Madix, for who knows what and made Madix cry, then when we yelled at Tyler to stop both her and Madix just SCREAMED for the WHOLE ride. So going crazy listening to them Dave BLASTED the radio. It was a VERY LOUD ride home.

So it was a great day and just a horrible ride home.

BABY NAMES....TAGGED!

Tagged by Nikki
The tag is to say HOW/WHY we chose the baby names we did.
Tyler Ele (Ty Ty)

I got the name Tyler (for a girl) from the movie "Point Break". I saw it in highschool and loved the movie.

The surfer girl in the movie was named Tyler. Since then I always just loved that name for a girl. (I love boy names for girls) and Dave always liked it too, so that was always gonna be the name of our first girl.
Ele (pronounced Elee) is after Daves Grandma, Eleanor, who passed away a few months before Tyler was born. She was such a cute, fun grandma and always impressed me by how bright she was and had the best memory ever. (Tyler is extremely bright and has the best memory, so I like to think she got it from her great grandma Eleanor).

Madix Kai (Mads)

When I was pregnant with Mads we were just driving in the car one day trying to think of cool, different girl names and Dave just thought of Madix and we both loved it.

We always wanted a Hawaii name, since we met in Hawaii and we love it so much, so "Kai" means ocean in Hawaiian.

I tag..... Deirdre, Stephanie F., Holly and Nancy, or anyone who would like to tell about their kids names, I would love to read about your names.

Easter Bunny on St. Patricks day

My friend invited me to the mall with her yesterday morning, St. Patricks Day, and since I was there I thought I my as well get their picture taken with the Easter Bunny, so Mads is wearing her St. Patties day tank. They both loved the bunny but of course only one would smile at a time. Playing at the mall afterwords.

Parks, Bikes and New Hobbies

Not too much new has been happening around here, we're just enjoying the beautiful weather.

I just got this baby carrier for my bike, yeah I can finally go on bike rides again. I got this sweet beach cruiser for my b-day when I was pregnant with Tyler and me and Dave used to always go on bike rides. I haven't really been since Ty was born. Madix only likes it when I go really fast though, so watch out everyone.

Tyler just picked up a new hobby of painting. She sits at her chair forever and loves to paint. She's so good at dipping it in the water first then the paint everytime.

Madix's new hobby is standing. Yep, she's still is not crawling on her hands and knees (army crawl only) but she loves to stand. Everytime I set her down she goes right to something she can hold on to to stand. WOW- she just turned 8 months and is gonna be walking before I know it. My babies grow up too fast!!

Last week we went to the Railroad Park in Scottsdale with a buch of friends and had so much fun! They have a train that you ride around the park which Tyler loved, but Mads and Ty's favorite was the Merry-Go-Round!

And 8th Grade!

Thanks Stephanie, I failed to mention my horrible day with the 8th grade. Going along with my last post of my terrible night, that day I had to teach 8th grade! I usually love subbing. It's typically really easy, they work quietly and then I play quiet ball with them, but every now and then I get a horrible class and yesterday was one of them. 8th graders are just punks, I won't go into details but I did have to send "Tashika" to the office. That's the great thing about subbing, I never have to go back to that class again.
So coming home from that day with a big headache, kind of explains my impatience with my kids last night.

AHHHHHHHHH!!!

Does anyone ever feel like they're gonna lose it? This is how I felt tonight.

On my way home Tyler decided to try and take her shirt off in the car. She got it about half way off, then the car seat was in the way so it was stuck half way on her. She threw a fit for about 10 minutes until we got home- ahhhhh!.
Then I get home to find Meeka has gotten in our garbage and in our pantry to help herself to a bag of chips which she takes to the carpet to tear up and chip crumbs everywhere- ahhhhh!
I put Tyler in her pj's and she throws a fit because she doesn't want to wear a shirt and was getting so mad because she couldn't get this one off by herself. I try not to give into her and just let her scream. While Madix is crying unless I'm sitting right by her,and then she just wants to crawl ALL over me ALL the time- ahhhhhh!
Finally after 10 minutes of Tyler screaming I yanked her shirt off her- ahhhhh! She said so sweetly "okay mommy". Still I had had it, so I put her to bed with no shirt on.
15 minutes later I just kept thinking she's gonna get cold in the night, so I went in there and told her she has to put a shirt on, she said "ok mommy", I think she knew I had it.
This was an hour ago and I just went up stairs to hear them both just sitting in their cribs talking and playing happily. If only I could be a little kid and just play in my crib.
I have finally calmed down but had to vent. Just one of those nights when you want to yell ahhhhhh!!
