HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAMI

"Fair-weather friends are easy to find, but a genuine friend who can be counted on to remain true is a treasure worth searching for. When you have found someone who is authentic, someone who is true, you have found the fairest gem that the riches of worlds can produce."
Lloyd D. Newell
Tami has been my best friend for about 17 years now and I have truely found a treasure to have her in my life.
We met in Highschool, went away to college together, both went on missions, got married a week apart from eachother, had kids and know live 10 minutes from eachother.
She has been there for me in every aspect of my life and would drop anything at a minutes notice to help me.
When I NEEDED to go back to work but didn't know how I could with kids, she was the one to tell me to do it and she would watch my kids. She has 3 little kids of her own and works from home. She is the most selfless, caring person I know. She even cancelled her babies doctors apt. one time because I needed a babysitter. That is just ONE of the millions of things she has done for me.
"Everyone has a "best friend" during each stage of life- only a precious few have the same one."

I am so so blessed to have Tami in my life and know that she will always be one of the most important people in my life.
I love you Tami, thanks for being the best, best friend ever!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Now to go down memory lane just a bit.

Us in highschool on "Brady Bunch" day.

Tami came to the beach with my family every summer. She's considered part of our family.

Rocky Point with her family, we were seriously stuck on the sand.

We went to UVSC to college and had the best time ever. One of our favorite things to do was to go up Provo Canyon. Halloween in college.

We had never lived in snow before, so when we woke up the first morning it snowed in Provo and saw everything white we were beyond excited and just ran outside. And visiting Tami when she lived in Flastaff. We went "caving".

We still love to do all of our tricks. This is just a couple months ago:) We've been doing them for 15 years and haven't lost it.

In our wedding dresses. It was so fun to get married just a week from each other.

And of course our kids are gonna marry eachother! Will it be Nolan? Or Colby? We're really gonna have to watch these 2, kissing already!:)

And our girls will of course be best friends:)

I WANNA TAKE A NAP

What 2 year old wants to take a nap... mine! Tyler lots of times around 11 am or 12 will say "I wanna take a nap". She LOVES her crib. I hold her off until 1:00 so her and Madix can go down at the same time. So even though she loves to take a nap it's quite the ordeal. She has to have her "tent" (Dave put a blanket over the top of her crib once for fun and now she has to have it everytime). She has a Hello Kitty humidifer that we got when she was sick but still HAS to have that on, along with her fake fish tank that lights up, along with her stars on the cieling and music, with her princess pillow blanket and of course the FROG, oh and her drink of water. I sometimes have to keep going back in her room because she HAS to have something else along with the million things she already has in her crib. But I can't complain because like I said she loves to take her naps. She naps from 1-4 and even then I have to wake her up half the time so she'll go to bed by 7:30pm. I have been very blessed with good sleepers.

AND MADIX IS WALKING!!

I wouldn't say 100% but she can take a good 4 or 5 steps and is getting better everyday. Go Mads, at 10 months! She has to keep up with her big sister who was walking at 10 months.

Madix's FAVORITE thing to do. Sit in her chair and eat pretzels! If she ever gets fussy I just stick her in her chair with pretzels and she is so happy for at leaste a half an hour.

YEAH FOR DISNEYLAND!!

Dave and I took Tyler for a quick trip to Disneyland last weekend and it was a blast! All last week we kept telling her we were gonna go to Disneyland if she was a good girl and I hate for the trip to be over because she WAS sooo good last week. I didn't think she was old enough to reason but she knew "if she didn't eat all her dinner she wasn't going to Disneyland" or "if you're not nice to Mads your not going to Disneyland" so she did just what I told her all week:)

The first 2 rides we took her on was Pirates and The Haunted Mansion and after that she said "I want to go home". So sad, so we went to the kiddie rides and she started loving it.

Train ride with dad, this was one of her favorite rides. And Sitting on Main St. waiting for the parade. Goofy stopped right at Tyler during the parade to play with her and give her hugs and kisses. Tyler was in heaven.

She was the MOST excited to see Mickey! The best part of the trip was just watching Tyler get so excited, it was worth a million dollars. She wasn't too sure about petting the goat (after all we were at Disneyland not the zoo)

Eating her pickle. All last week when we asked her who she was gonna see at Disneyland she would say "See Mickey Mouse, and get candy and a pickle!" She loved her Mickey Mouse balloon and had to take it everywhere with her the rest of the trip.

Heading home with her cinderella suitcase, her mickey hat and her mickey ballon. What a great trip!

GIRLS WEEKEND!

Me and Tami flew to Utah Thursday night for a girls weekend and to reunite with our old roomates from when we went to college at UVSC. These were our roomates our freshman year 12 years ago! We had a blast our freshman year and loved living with these girls, this is the first time we've seen them since 12 years ago.

Jeneane, Tami, Me, Kasey and Brichelle. They met up with us at the Gateway Friday night and we had a big slumber party at my dads condo there. We had so much fun staying up all night and talking. Just trying to figure out my self timer on my camera.

Then we were so lucky to be able to meet up with our roomates from our sophmore year also! 11 years since I lived with Jen and Kami. I had a great college experience and had so much fun, I loved these girls too. Kami, Me, Tami and Jen. We met for lunch Sat., then got some chocolate and went back to the condo and visited for a long time. So fun to catch up on everything.

Me and Tami had the best weekend ever. Friday my dad treated us to a nice pedicure. Then he took us to a really nice lunch at Tucany's, it's like Rodijio Grill, Peruvian food and they go by with rounds of different meats to your table and you just pick it off their scewers. It was so yummy, except for the scewer of chicken hearts.
Thanks Dad!

And we did lots and lots of shopping! That's the best thing about staying at the Gateway, we walked out our back door and was at a huge mall.
Sunday morning we got up and walked to the temple and watched The Music and The Spoken Word by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. It was really neat to watch them and record it like to air.
Thanks to our wonderful husbands who stayed home with our kids, it was the best girls weekend ever!
