A Wonderful Christmas

We had a wonderful, wonderful Christmas! First 2 things worthy of recording. We've started a little Christmas tradition of doing a little secret santa drop off to a family in our ward who could use a little help. Dave wanted to just give it to the bishop to give to them (that's what we did last year), but I wanted the girls to be a part of it, which ment we had to drop it at the door and run. So the first night we went me and Ty were gonna run up to the door, then run. Well the door was open with just the screen door closed and the family all sitting right there. So we had to wait. Me and Dave were out 2 nights before Christmas so we decided we just had to do it. I was driving so Dave had to drop and run. Not only was the nighbor out watching the whole thing but Dave's 2nd attempt to the door (he chickened out the first time), went all wrong. As he opened the screen door to slide the gift in, the door opened! Caught red handed!! Dave was in shock and was so flustered he didn't know what to say. (you'll have to ask him for the full story....soooo funny!) He got in the car and was sooo mad at me for making him do that, I couldn't stop laughing. It was all for a good cause.

Secondly for the first time in my life (besides chopping my hair on my mission), I got a new hair style! It's nothing extreme, but it's big for me. I really wanted a change but am too chicken to cut my hair, so I got some bangs.

What do ya think? It's a good little change, we'll see how long it last.

Twas the night before Christmas! We stayed at "gigi's" house with my sister. I think Santa came. Notice Ty's cool red scooter over on the side.

We were all good this year, no coal in our stockings.

Christmas morning! I was actually the first one up at 6:30, we had to wake the kids up. I couldn't believe Ty didn't wake up earlier, she was SOOOO excited!!

Opening stockings. Madix couldn't get past the candy canes.

Me and Kacey both got new watches.
We had a great Christmas, hope you did too!!

All Girls At Our House!

Yup, another girl is on her way for us, and we might have been a little bit more excited for a boy, but are super excited for a sweet, adorable baby girl. So Dave and I go to breakfast before my ultra sound and he's SO sure it's a boy. I thought it was a boy too, this pregnancy is so much more mellow. We get into the room and the guy doing the U.S. (sorry don't know the pro. name) knows how much we're hoping thinking it's a boy, he seriously took 20 pictures of just the "girl part", you know the 3 lines. He said he was looking all over to see some sign of a boy, but it was all girl. The first thing Dave said was, "I don't understand" and then he said"that's 3 weddings we're gonna have to pay for". Then I think he started thinking more positive and said, "oh at leaste I don't have to redo the baby room" and "well at leaste I won't have to do scouts". But really we are excited and 3 little princesses will be so fun. As for now this is our last one, but you never know what will happen.
EARLY CHRISTMAS PRESENT!!

My parents got our family a trampoline for Christmas so Dave got it all put up last weekend, since we won't have time over Christmas. I can already tell it's gonna be the best toy. They LOVE it!! This is my dad bouncing Ty.

I think my dad had as much fun as the girls.

We've only had it up for 3 days and I'm sure the novelty of it will wear down a bit, but just today Ty and Mads spent hours on it and had so much fun together.

My wonderful mother and Mads.

Then Mon. night we went and saw the beautiful Mesa Temple lights. Ty and her friend Kiera.

These 2 are funny. That sat in the corner together for awhile practing their "mad" faces, then had to come show me. I love how Ty thinks she's putting her hands on her hips but are really in her armpits.

A Day in the Snow

So, when we went to the Polar Express last weekend (wich is in Williams, Az, about 3 hrs north Michelle), Tyler was just so upset there wasn't any snow to play in. Then ofcourse it dumped the day after we left Flagstaff. So the day after we got back Dave said he had an apt in Flagstaff Wed. afternoon so lets just drive back up there Tues. night and play in all the snow Wed. So heck, why not. We loaded the kids and headed back up and they had a blast! Absolutely LOVED the snow!

We got these cool bibs at Target for just $12!

They were so excited, they were practicing their snow angels in the hotel.

We went to this sledding hill just past snowbowl and we had to climb up this big hill in deep snow to get to the top. So Dave carried Madix up and plopped her in the snow and came back to help me and Ty. Mads didn't mind at all.

Madix really surprised me. She's my whiney/needy baby and always just wants me to hold her. So I thought for sure she would be too cold and just want me to hold her the whole time. But not at all, she loved it!

Ty, trying to get up the big hill in the snow. She kept falling and then would just start playing in it.

Awww, we all made it to the top.

Me and Ty going down. I admit, I was pretty scared going down the first time. It was a pretty big hill.

The snow went above their knees standing up.

Ty loved eating the snow.

Look how beautiful. A winter wonderland.

Mads had a hard time picking up the snow with those silly mittens that were too big.

She did a pretty good snow angel with her arms. Her legs were too stuck in the snow to move them.

Me and my 2 snow bunnies.

Snow fight with dad.

Madix was so concerned Tyler kept throwing snow all over him and she would wipe it off him.

Then she figured out how to join in the fun and was throwing it at him too. They were so cute and had so much fun! What a great day in playing in the snow! I am glad we can just drive 2 hours and play in the snow but not have to live in it. It's beautiful but what a pain to bundle your kids up everytime you go outside and worry about your car sliding all over.

STAY TUNED..... Monday's the big day when I find out what I'm having!! Any guesses??? Come on boy thoughts:) Although we're hoping for a boy, I would be so so happy and excited to have another adorable, sweet baby girl. Ty & Mads are the best and I would love to have another one of them, but lets still think boy thoughts:)

The Polar Express

Last year for Christmas my parents bought my whole family tickets to The Polar Express (yes you have to buy them a year in advance that's how good it is). And it was SO fun to watch Tyler and Madix. They are at the perfect age and was just at awe.

Outside our hotel in their PJ's ready to go! It was FRRREEEEEZING that night!! I think it was about 20 degrees when we were outside waiting for the train. (good reminder of why we live in warm Phoenix)

In the hotel by the fire trying to thaw out.

Ty and Mads all bundled up waiting to go.

First we got to visit Santa and tell him what they wanted. Ty asked for a trampoline, a sponge bob game, and a scooter. Mads just asked for a Dora dolly:)

All 10 of the cousins

Waiting for the train. Did I mention how cold it was?? I thought I was gonna die.

Poor Madix didn't know why the heck it was so cold. She was trying to cover her face with Grandpa holding her.

Ty was so excited she could hardly stand it!

Awww finally made it on the warm train.

Ty sitting with Uncle Benson and Titi Omy.

They brought us some hot chocolate and cookies right away.

Madix was the life of the party, she was just dancing away to the music playing on the train.

Ty was so funny and really thought it was the "real" Polar Express. She hung on tight to her ticket the whole time cause she was afraid it was gonna fly out the window (like the movie). Then her favorite part of the whole experience was when the train conductor came by. He wasn't even checking tickets, but Ty made sure to give him her ticket to look at. She was really concerned he didn't punch it though.

Here we are riding up to the North Pole. It was so fun for them to see it out the window. We rode past the elves houses, and the reindeer and then Santa was outside waving....so exciting!! Then when we drove back by it Santa was gone! Where did he go?? (he got on our train)

So we had to sing a bunch of Christmas songs for Santa to come out. He stopped and talked to Tyler for a long time. He told Ty that his elves told him she was coming and he that was waiting for her. WOW! (sitting on Uncle Kevins lap)

Giving Madix a bell!

Riding back home from the North Pole. What an experience, one I think Tyler will never forget. It was an awesome trip. Thanks Mom and Dad!!
