35th Birthday Trip!

Dave suprised me with an asolutely FABULOUS trip. At first when he told me we were going on a trip for my birthday, I said "I'de rather just have the money we'de spend on the trip to go shopping and do stuff around the house". He said too bad, I've already planned it and we're going. I'm so glad we did, it was such a fun and relaxing trip. He did such a good job planning it!! Sunday morning we flew to Salt Lake City to stay at my dad's condo at the gateway mall. Such a fun place to stay, you walk out the condo and your in the mall, with restaurants, movie theatre's and all the good shops.
So the first day we got there we went up to Park City. We ate lunch at the Loco Lizard, so yummy. And walked around the outlet shops and did a little shopping.
Then we went to Park City resort and rode this new rollercoaster ride down the mountain!! It was CRAZY. Your on a track and it winds up and down and all around the mountain and you control your speed. Dave was in control of the speed, and do you think he slowed down at all? NO! Full speed the whole crazy mountain ride, I was sure we were gonna fly off the mountain a few times, but SO FUN!!!!
Then we walked around the olympic sites and museum and then went back, had a good dinner and a late movie. So nice to know we could stay up as late as we wanted and sleep in as late as we wanted.

Then Monday we drove up to Cascade Springs to walk around. The weather was absolutely beautiful.

This is so funny. The last time we were at cascade springs was in 1997 when we were dating. (below picture). I LOVE that me and Dave can go back to so many places and reminisce about the good ol days. It brought back so many memories of when we dated and lived in UT.

Then we went to Sundance and walked around and had a good lunch.
That night my dad was in town also so he talked us into meeting up with him for some authentic chinese food. It was a little too authentic for me but you can tell how happy it made my dad.
Tuesday we slept in late. I'm not one who can sleep in, I autimatically wake up at 6:30 or 7 every morning. So I would get up, eat breakfast watch TV for an hour then go back to bed with Dave till 10 or 11, SO NICE!! We walked around the mall, I had dinner with my old mish companion Katie Magleby. We saw another movie then had dinner with Dave's old mish comp., Clark Hess. Good relaxing day.

Wed., slept in, went and worked out a bit, relaxed then went over to Temple Square and walked around. Then Dave took me on my real birthday date- ate dinner at The Roof on top of Joseph Smith Memorial Bldg, THEN Dave got us tickets to go see "So You Think You Can Dance"!! It was the best dinner and the best dance show!! Such a good night!!

THANKS Babe for an amazing trip. Probably the best birthday ever! And THANKS Mom for staying with our kids for 4 days so we could have such a great relaxing trip!
