Party and Spring Time

Not too much going on here. I did have a super duper diaper party. Once again Tami came through with her amazing talent and made this CUTE invite.

We had it at my friend Alisa's house. Jess mixing this yummy pina colada punch. Notice how just one punch wasn't enough. If you couldn't tell by how fancy it is Alisa is a caterer. So everything was so fancy and YUMMY. She made these southwest eggrolls that were to die for, that aren't set out yet.

I'm so sad my camera died after 2 pictures. So this is at the very begining before everyone dug in. A bunch more friends came that aren't in this pic. The majority of them are from my ward. I have the most amazing ward with TONS of young families and fun friends.
A HUGE thanks to Tami, Alisa, Jess, and my mom for putting together this amazing party. It was perfect and so much fun!!

I LOVE spring time and I LOVE that's it's starting to get warm. Not quite warm enough for the pool yet but our daily activity right now is playing on the tramp with waterballoons. The girls LOVE it!

Speaking of loving spring, we have this big pot in our back yard and all year round it is empty (just dirt). Probably about 5 years ago we planted these flowers and after they died in the summer we never watered it or did anything with it. (I'm not much of a gardner) Then every year at this time, out of the blue, these amazing flowers just appear. (I don't even know what kind of flower it is. Is it a Lilly??)This year cause of all the rain we got they're huge. It's such a fun surprise to never have to plant or water this pot, but yet these beautiful flowers keep coming back year after year. It makes me so happy:)!

**8 1/2 weeks to go, only 7 1/2 if I go a week early, which I'm planning on:)!!

I'm officially official!

This whole last week I did my WSI training (water safety instuctor). It was everyday this last week from 7am-2pm. It was pretty interesting and I actually learned a lot. The very first morning, 7:30 am she made us jump in the pool (it was an outside pool and freezing and windy outside! pool was heated but was still freezing). So we had to jump in and to a lap there and back of all 6 strokes to show her we could swim good. I felt like I was on swimteam. Did you know there are officially 6 strokes? I didn't. 1. front crawl (or freestyle), 2. back crawl (or backstroke), 3. breastroke, 4. butterfly 5. sidestroke 6. elementary back. Luckily the last 2, which I had never heard of, were easy.

So everyday we were in the pool at leaste 3 or 4 hours learning in detail and having to practice teach each stroke along with safety skills, floating methods and even diving. (I got to sit out and watch the diving part, they didn't want me delivering in the pool).

This was through Red Cross who teaches that from ages 6 mo's to 3 years is just a parent tot class and really won't teach a kid to swim till they're 4. Which I think is crazy, both my girls were swimming at 18 months, as I think everychild should be if for nothing else to save their lives if they fall in. So obviously I'm not following exactly how they showed us, but I will be much more prepared to teach all the strokes when the child is at that stage.

This is my flyer that amazing Tami made for me.

I'm 30 weeks!! 10 more to go and I'm counting down. Yes, I was big and pregnant at the pool with a bunch of skinny teenagers:)

She's a Natural

I guess since we're not gonna have any boys, Ty's gonna be our little tomboy, sportzy one. She did "ok" in dance last year, but she hated putting on her leotard and a tutu everyweek for class.
Then when she got her soccer shorts for her birthday this year she did not want to take them off for like 3 days (even snuck them on under her pj's one night). I guess that says it all.....

She LOVES soccer! Dave took her and Madix to pick out their very own soccer balls, Ty picked this one with flames on it.

Thank goodness Madix has Hanna to keep her occupied during Ty's practice. Eating a roll, notice the PINK soccer ball that Mads picked out (she's all girly).

"Go team!"

The first game was last Saturday. Luckily she got to be on the same team as her good bud Colby.

Warming up. I was a little nervous, cause at practice she would just kick the ball really hard in any direction, BUT I was very pleasantly surprised.

Here she is during the game getting the ball. I don't think she realizes she's not supposed to take it away from her team mates (and who care if it's out of bounds:). But at this age we're just happy if she can get the ball.

So, she stole the ball from her team mate and dribbled, yes dribbled ALL the way down the field and scored a goal!!!! Go Ty! It was so fun to watch, and she scored one or two more that game. Like I said, she's a natural.

Best Friends

Today in the car Ty got mad at Madix for something dumb, then Madix asked "but are you still my best friend?" Ty said, "yes, I'm just mad right now".
Don't get me wrong, they definitely have their bad times of fighting and hitting and stealing toys and NOT being nice, BUT I have to say the majority of the time they are just best buddies and are so cute together.

This is right after Mads was born, Ty was only 15 months. I love how close in age they are. Maybe Ty was too little, but she never was jelous or had anykind of problem accepting a new baby in our house. Just loved her from the very first day.

This is just one of my favorite pics of them.

Ty likes to "try" and hold Mads. When I drop them off at the gym if Madix is ever sad, Ty says "I'll hold you Madix:)". Theresa (lady over the day care at the gym) told me she's never seen 2 sisters have such a bond. (oh, that made me so happy to hear)

The other night they sat outside the office while I was on the computer and played so cute for the longest time. Madix would try and read books to Ty and the animals and Ty would help her, then they would sing songs. I don't think there's a better sound in the world than to listen to that. I wish I would've recorded it.

This is last night when they were getting dressed, they just thought it was HILLARIOUS to have their shirts on their heads and just laughed and laughed.

Ty has had her own big bed in her own room for over a year now, but refuses to sleep on it. She only wants to sleep on the floor next to Madix's crib. We finally put a pad down on the floor once we realized it was permanent. One night I went in there and Ty was laying in Madix's crib in front of Madix with her shirt up and Madix tickling Tyler's back.
Again, I feel like I'm bragging a lot about what great girls I have. Ty was actually super, super naughty at the gym the other day and they definitely have their share of problems. I just can't help but to take in and share the bond and sweetnes they have with eachother.

Me at 27 weeks! I just really hope and pray they except Tayt (yup, that's the name we've decided), into their little twosome. That's what I'm most worried about.
