POWELL

We took a trip to Lake Powell a couple weeks ago and it was a BLAST!! Next to a cruise it could be the next best vacation. We went with Dave's brother Stacey (who got us a free houseboat) and his fam., Dave's sister Deirdre with her hubby and cute baby and me and Dave who opted to leave our kids with "Gigi", so we could REALLY have a vacation. And it was the best! Here comes an overload of pics.

Beautiful Lake Powell

So we get to Paige at around 8pm and have to get in the water and drive our boat we're told anywhere from 2-7 hours to meet up with Stacey and the houseboat. The big question was do we just get a hotel at Paige and find him in the morning in the light or go for it? We were completely crazy and went for it.

About 9pm trying to navigate our way to a place we've never been in this gianormic lake (no cell phone service). It was insane! Probably about 10:30 with the help of out walky talkies we found Stace and the houseboat!!

Deirdre had the best little baby. He just turned one, but he would just sit in his car seat in the boat for hours and be so happy.

Dave with his cute sister and bro.

Dave and Stacey are quite the pair. They made everyone laugh the whole trip. This is an awesome pic if you can tell what they're doing, we had two boats, they were each riding behind a boat and we would drive the boats by eachother and they ride up to eachother and give high fives as they passed.

Me and Dre

I love this picture of Ashton, he is too cute.

This is our houseboat behind us in out little cove/special spot that Stace found for us.

Hiking to rainbow bridge. It was sooo hot!

This is the whole group at Rainbow bridge. It was cool but about a mile hike and it was so sticken hot we just wanted to be in the water.

Ashton just took his naps in the car seat on the boat everday.

Ha! Stacey's dog that they brought.

Dre and me surfing the tube with Miss Lilly.

Dre, Stace and me on the tube. It was a CRAZY FUN ride!

Dre and Drew on the tube. I was driving and I almost killed them, sorry Dre:)

Andrew was awesome, throwing a 360!

Dave's pretty good too:) Grabbing his back side, pretty cool!

Dave getting some air.

We pulled Stace right to the houseboat on the wakeboard and this is where he landed.

Stacey brought everything. He brought a huge projector that he shone on the huge canyon wall right by us. We were literally at the drive in movies on the lake. SO COOL! This pic is all of us sitting on top of the houseboat for the movie.

Me doing a little jump.

Ashton wanted to drive too.

Dave wakesurfing behind our boat. (I say our boat, it's my dad's sweet boat.) Thanks dad!

Dave and Stacey both riding behind our boat.

Me doing a 180. I finally got pretty good at them.

Me and another little jump. It's not bad for me, but compared to the guys it's "little".

Me, Shayna and Dre. Shayna was 7 months prego. She's such a trooper.

OH SH*** It wasn't easy to flip people on that tube it was so big. But I managed to flip Dre and Drew and here is Dave and Stacey being flipped.

We were there for the 4th and leave it to Stacey to put on a full blown professional fire work show that I'm sure all of Lake Powell enjoyed.

Dre and Me ridin the tube.

Wooooooooooo!!

Ashton was a little attached to mom and dad. This is the only time he would let me hold him:)

Look at this beautiful double rainbow! It was so gorgous there and we had an amazing time!

Holy crow...nice pictures! We haven't rented a houseboat since my senior trip in 1990. Yes, I am that old! Now I want to go play at Powell!
