Day 5 and 6

On the 5th day we went to Cork, which is the biggest city in Ireland. We walked around did some shopping ate at some good pubs and restaurants, saw a local band at a pub. Michelle drove a lot in Ireland cause she gets car sick easy. And it is not an easy drive. Not only are you driving on the opposite side of the road and the staring wheel is on the other side but the streets are SOOOO narrow. Anyone who parked on the street would pull in their side mirrors cause they know what a tight squeeze it is. Great job driving Michelle. Our hotel we stayed at in Cork.
Even in the big city they have colorful doors. Love it!!
The city of Cork.

This is at a restaurant called Amicus. Probably my favorite restaurant the whole trip. It was so cute and good food.

We then went to see the famous Blarney Castle to kiss the famous Blarney Stone.
Here's the history about the Blarney Stone. After you kiss it you grow very "eloquent".

You would think it would just be a big stone ontop of the castle or something, but no. You had to hang upside down at leaste 50 ft hight and kiss the stone that's in the wall of the castle. Here's Dave.

Me kissin it! Don't worry they cleaned the rock after each kiss.

This was just a house outside the castle that people really live in.
Tami, this is for you. All that green grass I had to run and do a cartwheel.

We then went to the coast of Cobh. This is a big port where all the big ships leave from. This is the port that all the Eastman/ Barber ancestors left from. Crazy to be standing in the same place where you ancestors embarked on a journey to America. We went through the museum and these were no cruise ships. They would travel for months crowded with little food and sea sickness. This was also the last port that the Titanic left from before it sank. CRAZY!
