Philadelphia/DC Trip

On the plane on our way!
Our view from our window in Philly

Independence House, where they signed The Declaration of Independence

We ran 3 miles one night
to see the Rocky statue!

The stairs Rocky ran up

Downtown Philly
The famous clock tower

The beautiful cherry blossoms.  They were every where in Philly.

Liberty Bell

50 million coins a day are made here!

Reading under a tree, waiting for Dave to get out of his conference.  It was perfect weather!

In Philadelphia, world famous for their philly cheesesteak sandwiches.

We made it to DC! (a metal tree behind us...)

Smithsonian, they had the largest
museums, it was incredible.

The funnest thing we did.... took a tour of DC on segways!!

The Capitol

Lincoln Memorial

Washington Monument

White House, (we actually saw the Presidents Helicopter coming in at night)

We took a jog at night, to see the sights at night.  It was super cool to see it all at night.

The next set of pictures is all the World War 2 memorials.
Both my Grandpas served in this war.

The unknown soldiers graves.  They are on constant guard and do a changing of the guard and solute every 30 min.

It was such a great, fun, interesting, educational, relaxing trip!!

Wow...I feel educated just reading that post. Lincoln memorial gives me chills and I've never even seen it in person. I've always wanted to go to the Smithsonian too. Love the Rocky pictures...you and Dave are the most adorable couple :)
