Tayte 22 months old

My almost 2 yr old. She has become quite the character lately. She used to be satisfied sitting and watching movies forever but in the last few months she has developed quite the imagination. She loves to play dolls and dress up and make believe. Her and Madix play so cute together. She LOVES to do what her bigger sisters are doing and is finally getting old enough to tag along with them. It's SO fun to watch her keep up and hang with the big kids.




Ty taking Tayte for a ride down the stairs and after every time Tayte would hold up a finger and say one more!






She loves to be out back with Meeka and feed her.




She is just so fun right now, we always tell her to stop getting any older. She's starting to talk a lot more too which is the cutest. Her favorite word right now is "cheese" which really means "please" when she wants something. And she loves to sing and dance. I'll catch sometimes just walking around the house singing and dancing. And always sings in the car.

Our New Ride!!

When I was pregnant with Tayte I "thought" we would have to get a new car. It would be too squishy with 3 kids and car seats in the middle of the xterra. But somehow we made it work. But now that we are having a fourth we REALLY have NO choice, so we went out and found our new "family" car last week. We found an awesome 2004 black suburban with about 90k miles on it for a STEAL!!! We are SUPER excited about it. It's HUGE which will take some getting used to, but will be so nice for vacations and lake trips.

I have to say I am REALLY REALLY sad I'm gonna have to say goodbye to my yellow xterra! I got it right after I got home from my mission in 1999 then took it with me to UT for college and have drove it for the last 12 yrs. We have SOOOOOOOOO many good memories in this car taking road trips all over. I feel like I'm loosing a part of my family:(

But luckily we're not totally saying goodbye. We're gonna try and hang on to it for Tyler's first car:) 10 yrs, we'll see. It is in excellent condition and would be the perfect first car for Ty.

Madie Kai at 4 1/2 yrs old

Madix is so fun and cute right now. She's taking a dance/gymnastics class and is doing so good. She takes it with her friend Lilly and they are definently the cutest in the class.



She needs to work a little with her turn out. That's supposed to be a straight legged turned out kick, not a karate kick:) It's probably mostly caused by the way she ALWAYS sits (next pic)


Big Sister Madix! She is such a GOOD big sister and is always helping out with Tayte and playing with her! Since Ty goes to school every afternoon, these two have had a little bonding time alone. They play SOOOO cute, watching movies, playing baby dolls, reading books. Tayte is gonna miss Madix when she goes to Kindergarden next year.


Reading to Tayte before Tayte has to take a nap. I've never seen a kid love books as much as Madix does. She is ALWAYS "reading" books. Every night she stays up about 30 min. to an hour longer than Ty just looking at all her books. I love that she loves books so much.
And at her preschool saying the pledge.

They had to give a little presentation on their community and 3 places in their community. She picked the park (so she can learn the monkey bars), the library (cause she loves books) and Target (cause she loves getting slushies there). I LOVE my little 4 year old!!
