Havasupaii Falls in the Grand Canyon was one of the most beautiful things we have ever seen. It was such an awesome trip. You have to hike about 8 miles into the Grand Canyon, we stayed for 3 days then hiked out. We went just 3 weeks after Dave had back surgery😵. You have to schedule to get into the lodge way in advance when we didn't know Dave was gonna have back surgery, but he was a trooper and still went. With that said he got the luxury of flying in and out in a helicopter while the rest of us made the grueling hike. It was about 3 miles hike down and then the hardest part was the 5 miles flat hike on sand and tiny pebbles in the sun😥. Even though the lodge was a dump we were SO happy to have an air conditioned room and a shower!
We went with our really good friends Robby, Alisa, Brandi and Jason. The first day we just hiked to the 2 smaller falls. Seriously the prettiest blue water you have ever seen. |
Just hangin out on a picnic table in the middle of the river by the falls. |
Alisa, Brandi and Me Starting off with the little falls jump:) |
Hiking under the falls. And we loved pink shorts dude! |
This was kinda a crazy hike, through this little cave and was so steep we had to hold on to chains. Not sure how Dave did it but he did! |
The next "level" jump/drop, off a rope swing over a waterfall. |
Look at that rock and moss and waterfall behind us!😮 SOOOO BEAUTIFUL!! |
Our fun group! |
And onto the motherload waterfall!! |
There I gooooooo |
This is us waking up at 4am to hike out before it got too hot. |
The last little bit hiking out! It was hard! |
Eating at the lodge. They actually had pretty good food. |
Pictures are a little out of order but this is us the first day ready to hike in while Dave went and caught the helicopter. |
We had the best time! This will be one of our coolest trips ever made! |
