California Family Vacation- Seaworld!

The girls were so excited to go to California and go to Seaworld, we made that the first thing we did.
Already to go!

I got Tayte some sweet "Toms" shoes! I love them! She got to stay back with Gigi and Grandpa while we took the big girls to Seaworld.
Going on the Arctic ride.
The girls loved feeling like we were on a real helicopter.
They sure did make it feel like we were in the arctic as we walked through. Can you tell Mads is a little cold?
In the Polar Bear Cave. The girls wouldn't go in by themselves.

Already and waiting for the Shamu show to begin. It was a hot muggy day, so we sat in the soak zone wanting to cool off. Madix didn't want to get soaked so we brought a towel to cover her:)

We got SOAKED!!
So the towel didn't work so good:) It was so much water it went right through the towel. She was not happy!
This is how she looked for the rest of the show....drama!

She was happy and cool after the show:)
In the 3D sesame street movie.
Feeding the sea lions.
Who knew that Elmo and Cookie Monster would be at Seaworld.
I had to go up with Madix in their HUGE jungle gym play area.
They had some fun rides, like flying Elmo fishes.

It was a GREAT day at Seaworld. The girls LOVED it (besides Mads getting soaked). But she got over that fast and was even excited to go on the log ride and didn't care if she got wet.
What a great way to start our vacation. Lots of beach pictures to come!

Tayte at 15 Months Old!

Tayte got her 15 months shot last week and the following day woke up from her nap looking like this:( And both her legs were red and swollen. She definently had an allergic reaction to her shots. They were all booster shots that she had had before so the dr wants me to take her to an allergist-oh joy.

Other than that she is doing great!! Here is what she is up to at 15 months and all her favorite things:

She LOVES this goofy hat and Tylers lightsaber
I started giving her a fork this month and she is doing SO good with it and loves it. I was nervous about giving her a bowl of food, thinking it would be everywhere and on the floor but NOT this one. She is so neat. If one noodle fell off her fork or out of the bowl she quickly picks it up and puts it back in the bowl. I think this one is gonna be a bit of a neat freak. She is very good at putting things away and picking up. She is also constantly closing everydoor in our house.
So happy to be eating with a fork!
All my kids go through a phase of loving and cuddling and sitting on Meeka. Tayte sits on her and bounces like she's riding a horse. Meeka's such a good dog.
She LOVES her big sisters. I just found them on the stairs like this one day, Tyler reading to her:)
She loves shoes and is always bringing me shoes to put on her feet. And as soon as she hears me say, "time to go" she runs to the closet and grabs her shoes.

I put like 5 stickers on her one day and it entertained her for about an hour.
She is so good at not messing up her sisters stuff and is content to just sit and watch. Tyler spreading all her silly bands in a big circle and Tayte just sitting there watching.
Sitting next to Madix just watching her write her letters.
She has learned how to color and loves it. Again she is so good to put the lid back on the marker and back in the drawer when she's done. What 15 mo. old does that?? I have been very lucky with my kids and markers. They have never tried to color on walls or anything their not supposed to. I never worry about leaving markers out.

All ready for church

She is so fun and cute "RIGHT NOW" can I freeze her??!! This is my favorite age! I LOVE ALL the things she is doing right now!! I don't want her to get any older!!

Ty's First Day of Kindergarten!!

1st Day of Kindergarten, 1st Day in a Big school (K-8th), 1st Day with LOTS of kids everywhere that she doesn't know. 1st Day with Mrs. Bradley at The Odyssey Preparatory Academy, 1st Day wearing a uniform. 1st Day out in the "real world" no longer under my wing where she will have so many influence (good and bad) thrown at her- ahhhhh! I just hope and pray we've tought her well thus far and that home will always be her haven.
She's just doing half day Kinder, so she goes from 12-4pm. She was so excited all morning and couldn't wait!

It's not the cutest uniform but she loves it:)
So glad Dave was able to come home and go with us to take her to her first day of school. What a good dad!

Here we are walking up to her school. We were ALL a little nervous.

In the classroom waiting for her teacher. Other kids sat down and started playing with toys but she did not want to leave our side.
Then her friends from our ward got there, Keira and Keaton and she started to feel less nervous and more excited.
In her classroom doing activities. She LOVED it. We lingered for a bit, didn't know when we should leave her. But she was so happy and had no problem with us leaving, which made it WAY easier for me:)
I know she's gonna do great and is such a strong good girl. My baby is off to kindergarten:( But also so happy, no more saying how bored she is at home all afternoon:)
This is her teacher Mrs. Bradley

Her Teacher sent us home with this poem she wrote:
I gave you a little wink and smile
As you entered my room today.
For I know how hard it is to leave
And know your child must stay.
You have been with them for five years now
And have been a loving guide,
But now, alas, the time has come
To leave them by my side.
Just know that as you drive away
And tears down your cheekds may flow,
I will love them as I would my own
And I will help them learn and grow.
For as a parent, I too know
How quickly time does pass.
And that one day soon it will be my turn
To take my child to his class.
So please put your mind to ease,
And cry those tears no more.
For I will love them and take them in
When you leave them at my door.
Love,
Mrs. Bradley
