My Little Dancer

I LOVE that Mads loves dance and loves to put on leotards and tights and pretty tutu's every week. She just did a 6 week course this time around, so no big recital but they did a little performance today (the last day of class) for all the parents. Madix did so good and is so dang cute!
Here's all the pictures from a few different weeks.

She took the class with 2 of her good friends. Keira on the left and Kalissa on her right.

I LOVE these little leg warmers!

Her last day where they performed for us, so she got to wear a little makup.

So cute! My little dancer!

So she's supposed to be sitting with her legs out and knees UP and stretching. She has a really hard time with that, she's so used to sitting with her knees in.
As you can see, this is how she ended up stretching:) Her poor knees.

Me and Tayter's watching. She wanted to wear a ballet skirt also.
Her whole class with their certificates and their teacher Ms. Liza

I love my beautiful Madi Kai!

Star Of The Week!

Tyler got star of the week in her class this week. The first day she had to bring in this poster that's all about herself. Today she brought something that is special to her. Ofcourse it her froggy that she's had since she was a baby. Tom. we write a special note about her for the teacher to read and a video of her when she was little for her class to watch.

I helped her spell words but she wrote this whole thing by herself. I didn't tell her anything to write.

Soccer Time!

Tyler loves soccer and is doing so good this year. Her new ball that she picked out. All the other girls have white and pink and flowery balls...not Tyler. She wanted the red one with the long dragony snake thing on it:)

Practices. She was trying to drop kick the ball.

Not letting coach get it.

At her game. They are the bumblebees. At her first game we asked her "how many goals are you gonna score?" she answered "seven". :) We told her how about just starting out with the goal of one goal.
Madix, Maudi and me and Tayte under an umbrella. It was so hot last Sat. (luckily it's starting to cool down)

Tyler is really fun to watch. She really goes after the ball. She scored the only 2 goals for her team last game. I love her faces, they're pretty fierce.

Ty's team. They were all trying to hold the oranges in their mouths, but poor Tyler doesn't have any front teeth to bite it.
Her and her friend Marlee eating oranges at half time.

Mads and Tayte were troopers, it was HOT, if you can't tell by looking at Tayte. We sprayed her hair down, its not sweat:)

Her kick into the goal and she SCORED!! Good job Ty, your an awesome soccer player and we're so proud of you!

Granny's Funeral

Last Tues. Sept. 27th 2011 my Granny passed away at age 91. Her funeral was last Friday and what a fun (if I can say that for a funeral) funeral it was. She lived a long, happy life filled of service and family. It was a fun day remembering our Granny and how she was the best Granny EVER!

She lived such an amazing life of service. Story after story after story was of her serving others. Constantly baking bread or pies or making jams for others, doing their hair (she was a hair dresser), or taking in people to live with her family.
She had the best "granny" house up in the tiny town of Cornville, AZ where she lived on a dirt road that lead to a creek. In highschool me and my friends went up there many times to spend the weekend.

One memory of mine that was shared at the funeral was when me, Tami and Melanie went up there and decided to walk down and "look" at the creek. We ended up playing in the creek and on the rope swing and getting all wet and muddy. So we walked back down the dirt road, pass the horses and the one mean neighbor and the cool huge tree that was split in half by lightening to my Granny's beautiful house. As soon as we got there all wet my Granny made us take off all our cloths and she gave us each one of her long, silky muu muu's to wear while she washed and dried our cloths. So we all just laughed and laughed sitting around my Granny's table, playing cards and wearing her silky muu muu's.
All my friends LOVED going to my Granny's house in Cornville.

Benson gave a talk at her funeral of the grandkids memories and along with mine there were so many fun memories of how great and fun our Granny was!

She will be missed dearly, but what a happy day for her to be reunited with her husband, my Grandpa, who passed away a year ago.

And as Benson said in his talk, they I'm sure had a huge embrace and such happiness to be reunited again, then my Grandpa said, "now lets go build a garden together".

Tayte was named after my Granny, Tayte Ruby. I hope she can hear lots of fun stories about her Great Granny Ruby Riding and live up to the great legacy that Granny left.
Here is a 4 generation picture with Tayte Ruby, me, my mom and her mom, Ruby.
