14 months old

I LOVE LOVE this age and stage! I have to say 12 months- 2yrs is my FAVORITE! They are so dang cute and learning so many fun things during this year AND start to be more independent and play on their own better.
Here are some new things Tayte is doing at 14 months old:
She has learned 2 new words besides "uh oh, ma, da" she now says "HOT and DOT" Everytime I put her in the car when we've been out she says "HHHHOT!" (I guess thats a good word to know in the summer in phoenix:) Then whenever she sees little circles she points to them and says "DOT!" so cute. She even found a little circle on her tray the other day, I had no idea was even there, and pointed to it and said "DOT".

She's getting really good at finding things to entertain herself.
She was so proud to be wearing this hat and just kept walking around in it.

Thanks to her big sister Madix she's learning to play babydolls.

She is also learning to put a cheesy face on for the camera.
She LOVES milk!! She will often drink her whole sippy cup of milk then try and find her sisters milk and drink that too.
She is very good at following direction. When I'm doing the dishes I always tell her to go get her "baba's" and bring it to me and she does. Or I'll tell her to go get certain things or put things away and she totally knows what to do.
She loves to sit on the couch with her sisters, but she is NOT a tv kid. Won't watch it for more than a second. So different from my other 2.
She is obsessed with Dave's shoes. It's usually this same brown one that she ALWAYS takes out and try's to wear. It's funny she wants nothing to do with my shoes it's always Dave's.

She's a nerd.
She takes 2 naps a day. She's in her crib from 10-12 in the morning while I go out back to teach swim lessons. This is usually how I find her when I come in to get her- looking at her books and she turns on her little mobile music and light.

Also everytime I lay her down I hold her and sing "twinkle twinkle little star" and she sings with me! It's SO cute. She opens her mouth and says "ahhh ahhh ahhh ahhh" to the tune! She also try's to sing some songs in the car. And when there's a song she likes in the car she totally dances.

Tayte's 1st Lake Day & Church Pics

We decided we would go out on a limb and try to venture to the lake with Tayte (her first time). So we went with my friend Linda and her 3 girls, Krystal and her 2 girls and us and our 3 girls. To say the leaste there were a lot of little girls on the boat.
Just getting there, she wasn't too happy about me setting her down.
Once we got going and she got a little used to it, she was to our surprise really good. She loves the water!

Then she didn't even want me to hold her, she just wanted to sit on the bench and hang out.

Tayte LOVED the tube!!! She has her mouth open in this picture because she is totally laughing! Everytime we would go over little bumbs she would start laughing so hard. It was SO cute!

Madix is a lot more hesitant to get in the water. But once she got used to it she loved swimming in the lake.

Just chillin at the front of the boat. She loved when the boat was driving fast and would just chill and relax. When it stopped on the other hand she would want to climb all over.

Happy 4th Birthday Madix!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR MADI KAI!!

Madix is our lucky 7/7/07 baby but when it come to falling and hurting herself she is the most unlucky kid. Madix falls, bonks, cuts, trips or whatever else there is she does it at leaste 4-5 times a day! No exageration. I don't know how she manages to hurt herself so much but she is always covered in bandaids, cuts and bruises. BUT she's learned to be pretty tuff and a lot of times will jump up and say "I'm OK".

Madix thinks she is a princess. LOVES to dress up, put on makeup and pretend.

Madix LOVES babydolls. She probably has 20 babydolls and all their accesories and still asks for more.

She LOVES books and reading them (or pretending to:) Tyler collects all kinds of gadgets and "stuff" by her bed. Madix collects books. She probably has 20 books on or right by her bad at all times. Most nights Tyler falls asleep pretty fast and Madix will stay up for another hour reading books. So cute.

Being the 2nd child Madix learns tons by just observing and impresses us all the time with what she knows just by us trying to teach Ty things. She watches me teach Ty to read books and sound out words and will just pick it up and do it all by herself. She is VERY smart.

We love her funny personality and corkiness. Whenever I ask her to do something she says "OK Mommy Pachati" Have no idea where she got that but always calls me "mommy pachati". Our power went out in a storm the other night and Dave opened the fridge and said "freak, all our food is gonna go bad". Then Mads opened up the pantry and in a very dramatic voice said "Oh FREAK all this food is gonna go bad".
She also ALWAYS says "I wuv you mom" throughout the day. We're working at her saying her "L's" and if she thinks about it she says "I llllllllllove you mom":)

She is funny and keeps us laughing. We love our Madi Kai to death!

She had a wonderful birthday. She woke up to this brand new bike sitting down stairs. So COOL!
Then had waffles and icecream for breakfast.
Later her bestfriend Hanna came over to go out for icecream and pedicures with MY bestfriend Tami. So fun we have little girls who are also bestfriends!

It was so cute watching these little girls get pedicures. They thought it was so cool the water kept changing colors.

Then dad got home and it was time for her "daddy daughter date". He took her and Hanna to Red Robbins for chicken, fries and a shake, then to the toy store where she picked out a big crib and more stuff for all her babydolls.

Last weekend we had her birthday party when all the cousins were in town. This is her "peeyata" she picked out.
