Her Poor Face

My kids have NEVER colored on walls or anything they're not supposed to. I never worry about leaving markers out. So I go up stairs to check on Madix and Tayte and this is what I find....

At first I thought Tayte got hold of a marker, then I see Madix sitting there all innocently. I asked Madix "did you color your sister's face" and she just said "yes" like there was nothing wrong about it. She is my makeup girl, I think she was trying to decorate Tayte.
Then this las week Tayte biffed it at the gym on a big rubber slide. I guess she climbed to the top then went face first down. Her poor face!! She is pretty dang tough. They didn't call me in, said she only cried for a second.

Cake time!! She kept trying to grab the candle.

She loved the candle and probably would've ate it if I let her.

She was very dainty about eating her cake. Would barely touch it then lick her fingers. (funny how girls are so different than boys)

Back to playing with the bag! She had a blast putting this on her head and walking around. It was so funny!! Why get kids presents?? this is all they need!



Happy Birthday My Adorable One Year Old!!!

What she's doing at 1:

-She's great at walking but NOT with shoes on! She hates wearing shoes.

-She's mastered stairs pretty good, can go down if we get her started.

-Is drinking milk out of sipping cup but would much prefer formula.

-Favorite foods: cheese, grilled cheese sandwiches and otter pops.

-Says "ma" a lot, can say "uh oh" and "da"

-She blows kisses or makes kissy noises and just learned to click he tongue.

-She has 12 teeth!! yowza! 8 in front and 4 back teeth (I don't know if their her molars or just back teeth)

-She understands commands pretty good. If I tell her to go get something she goes and does it.

-She's very territorial especially over me. She gets so mad if I'm ever holding someone else and has become attached to Theresa at the gym and has pushed another baby away from her because she thinks it's HER Theresa.

-She still HATES to ever be alone.

-She claps a lot and knows to wave bye.

-She loves the water and being in the pool and doesn't even mind going under water.

-She hates watching movies at all! My other girls would watch baby einstien and elmo for hours, not Tayte! Want nothing to do with the TV (good and bad).

-She LOVES to be cuddled and rocked to sleep which she usually gets at night time.

Overall she is our adorable little baby that is so fun and we LOVE to death!!!

Our BUSY, FUN Weekend

Dave's been promising Ty he'd take her to the lake last week, so he took off early on Friday afternoon and we were off to the lake.

The girls had SO much fun on the tube. They loved "surfing" on it. Madix really suprised me. She was standing up and jumping and surfing and loved it!

Dave with the girls. Right after this picture I started pulling them and the nose of the tube went under, which means the girls got soaked, freaked out, and were DONE! whoops

Then Saturday morning the zoo was having an arthritis walk. The whole family got in for whatever we wanted to donate. So we got up early and off to the zoo. Tayters with the rhino. She was so good and loved looking at the animals.

Madix said her favorite animal was the baboon cause he had a pink bum! They thought it was SO funny!

It started to get a little warm so we thought it would be good for the kids to get a little wet.

Tayte was funny, she loved it.

We were so hot leaving the zoo we couldn't wait to get home and go swimming!

Then Saturday night we went to the hospital to meet our new nephew Beckahm. Congratulations to Amanda and Mike! He is the "coolest" baby, with the "coolest" hair! Check it out, long, black and sticking straight out everywhere! I LOVE it!!

Oh how I LOVE the newborn stage (well the first week:) We're so excited to have a new nephew and even more excited they live close so we can play with him and watch him grow.

Then the weekend ended with a WONDERFUL mothers day. I got spoiled all day and ended the day with the girls giving me a foot massage!
