Tayte Ruby's Baby Blessing

We wanted to bless Tayte in Oregon so that Dave's family could be there, and it was a beautiful blessing!

After church we went to see Great Grandpa Barber and gave him the sacrament

The girls sang "I Am A Child Of God" to him, so cute! Thanks for helping Jenny.

Then we went back to Grandma Eastmans house to do the blessing

In the blessing circle was Dave, Grandpa Eastman, Grandpa Schaub, Stacey (Dave's brother) and Jame's (brother in law)

Dave gave a beautiful blessing. He is head over heals with his baby Tayte.

Oregon Day 1

Half of Dave's family lives in Grants Pass, Oregon. Our kids have never been there and we have only been there in the winter, so we decided we should make a summer trip there. And Dave suggested, why don't we bless Tayte by his family this time. So it was a short 3 day trip to see Oregon in the summer and to bless Tayte, but it was a fun filled great weekend!

Ty has only been on an airplane once when she was a baby, so they were so excited with their little suitcases to fly in the plane.

We got there late Friday night, then woke up early Sat. morning to go on the famous jet boat ride down the Rogue River. I was a little nervous to take Tayte, this being a "jet boat" that spins around and does 180's and all 50 on the boat get wet! But they all said she would be fine.

In the store before we left. Vienna loved Tayte and just wanted to grab her and it totally was making Tayte smile.

She till doesn't stay awake for long though, she zonked.

I sat by Jenny in the middle with the babies, she helped me feel better.

Aunt Michelle took Ty under her wing and kept her safe and dry.

Tayte got a little splashed once but then I made sure she was covered REALLY good with her blanket and tarp. Didn't get a drop on her after that and just slept through the whole crazy ride.

Then that night we got to go to Michelle's cool house and property and they found a frog for Ty!!! She heard about frogs there and has never seen a real frog so she was SOOOO excited!!

It was just a little tiny guy, I've seen pictures of HUGE frogs there but this was good enough for Ty.

Look at those cheeks!!

Tayte at 8 weeks old. She finally decided to wake up to life a little bit. I actually have some pictures of her eyes opened. Look at those cheeks, they're so dang kissable.

She has just started really noticing things. She'll lay under her toy for a long time and kick and talks with her little squeels and even try and swing at it a little.

She's becoming so much more interactive. She knows when me or Dave start talking to her and she gets so happy! She smiles heaps at us and has these huge open mouthed smiles, so cute! I tried to get more pics of her smiling, (she smiles tons) but she is mesmerized by the camera and the flash, just stares at it, and ofcourse won't perform for it.

She LOVES dad! I think she's gonna be a daddy's girl. Anytime she hears his voice she perks way up.


The girls haven't gotten sick of her yet. They have backed off a bit, Ty still likes to touch her all the time and try and hold her. Notice their arm color, it cracks me up how dark Ty is and how white Tatye is. But it will come Tayters, Ty used to be that white too.

SISTERS..... It was fun having my sister Melanie in town for 3 weeks!! We had a girls weekend at a resort and shopped and layed out and ate and talked:) I'm glad this is what my 3 girls have to look forward to. The dads took the kids camping this same weekend, but did Dave take any pictures? ofcourse not.

Tayters got to stay at the resort with us and Gigi stayed with her most the time. (first time in her life wearing jeans and shoes! she looks so grown up:)
