Carving good ol' Jack

So blogger decided to switch my pictures and put them out of order, so o'well.

The end result of Jack. Dave was carving a hole in the bottom to put a candle and Tyler said "look, he's cutting his bum!" Oh the things kids say.

After Dave made her stick her hand in the pumkin once she was done and just wanted her hand clean.

Dave had to make Madix put her hand in also to feel, and she did not like it. I have such whimpy girls.

Do I really have to stick my hand in there? she did not want to.

They started out really excited about carving the pumpkin.

So, we went to the fair a week ago and my brother Benson has the basketball game down to a T. And if you've ever tried those it's ALMOST impossible, they've fixed the rims so it's really tricky. The trick is to go really high with the ball and let it drop in. He wins a prize everytime. He won Tyler this huge penguin, that she HAS to sleep with. The problem is it takes up most her crib.

Tyler was soooooo excited to see Cayou. She watches him every morning. She wanted to go home with him.

Birthday Celebrations

We have 4 birthdays in one week in my family, so we always just have one big party for all of us.

Kacey and my mom's birthday is on the 19th, mine the 23rd and Benson the 24th. My poor mom, even though it's her birthday too never really gets to relax much, always making sure that us 3 kids have a great birthday.

The kids had the most fun playing in all the paper.

A special birthday tribute to my mom:
She was the best mom growing up and always so understanding. One example that always stands out to me is when I was 15 and not supposed to be driving yet, she let me take the van to the store. Well, driving this huge van I couldn't see good behind me and backed into a car in the parking lot. I came home crying and my mom said, "it's okay, if it makes you feel better I hit a car last week."
She was always the mom all my friends loved. She would take us T.P.ing at slumber parties, make us crepes in the morning. She would always take me out of school on my birthday to take me shopping.
And like I said, she never gets to relax much on her birthday because she's making sure us kids are having a great birthday. This is a great comparison to her life. She is one of the most selfless people I know. She doesn't work but is busy every single day and most of that is helping or taking care of other people.
She is a great example to me and I hope and can be as good of a mom that she's always been.
I love you mom, Happy Birthday!

PUMPKIN PATCH

Yay, fall weather is finally here and it was a perfect night to go the the pumkin patch!

This is the only picture she smiled in all night and she moved her head.

Riding the little train ride

With cousin Braxton

They had a little petting zoo. Tyler has become such a little scaredy cat. This is as close as she would get to the animals. And with parents like me and Dave, who aren't afraid of anything, I don't know how that's gonna work. Dave did tell her that she can't come out of the petting zoo until she pet the goat, so she very quickly touched the goat then ran away. Poor Ty.

Here's a pig, and Tyler said, "the pig is gonna eat me!", truly believing it.

She was even afraid of the chickens in the cage, I made her stand this close for a picture and she was totally scared.

Quirks

I've been tagged by my lovely cousin Natalie to let everyone know all my quirks, or 6 of them, I'll spare you my really bad or embarrassing ones. So I'm supposed to list 6.

1. Handstands and Cartwheels- I love them! Whenever I'm in a big feild of grass, I like to run and do a cartwheel. And me and Tami LOVE to have handstand contests (I used to beet her in H.S., now I can never beet her). I couldn't even resist doing handstands when I was pregnant.

2. Chicken- I won't eat chicken at restaurants or hardly any meats. I just don't like the fat and cartilage you find every so often. So I only eat chicken if I can cook it and make sure all the yuckies are cut off. Or if I ever eat hot wings I use a fork and a knife, so I can just cut off the "good" chicken.

3. Dances- Tami and I still know all our dances from Junior High and H.S. that we made up and still like to do them.

4. Feet- I can't stand them! Baby feet are the only good things that could come from feet. Every now and then if I'm feeling charitable I'll let Dave touch me with his feet in bed but not very often. My dad's feet are the WORST and he purposely puts them on me all the time, I punch him if he does.

5. Cake and Brownie Batter- I would much rather eat the batter than the cooked thing. Me and Tami would eat a whole bowl of brownie mix in college. I always save TONZ in the bowl after I put it in the pan for me to eat.

6. Slumber Parties- Am I too old to have slumber parties? Tami brought her kids over just a couple of months ago and had a slumber party!
Most my quirkiness envolves Tami- I love you Tami.

I tag Meaghan, Deirdre and Rochelle
